This class covers firearms safety, State and Federal laws, safe storage, cleaning, parts & operation, shooting fundamentals and how to draw from a holster. There is both a state qualification and a written exam that must be passed to complete this course. Our price includes the filling out of your paperwork for SC State or the NC State certificate. This course will give you the training necessary to become an NRA Certified Instructor for Home Firearm Safety. (Please note - HFS is a classroom only instructor rating) Class size is limited. Other disciples such as Rifle, Pistol, Shotgun, Personal Protection in the Home, Personal Protection Outside of the Home, Range Safety Officer, Chief Range Safety Officer and Reloading can be added after completing this initial training course. This class is great for beginners that want to learn how to use their firearm defensively. Lessons covered include firearm safety, guns and gear, drawing from the holster, scanning, clearing malfunctions, tactical and speed reloads, point / instinctive shooting, use of cover and concealment, moving off the X, flashlight techniques, alternate hand firing and alternate shooting positions. Limited live fire training is conducted in this class due to the wide range and overview of topics. Additional training levels that will break down each of these skill sets further will be discussed in class. This class is a three-hour block of instruction with additional three-hour blocks that can be setup according to the student's needs. This is NOT an NRA certified training course. However, all instructors teaching the course are certified with the NRA as Instructors. Range fee may apply.

This class covers what you need to know for first time buyers of AR 15 platform rifles and pistols. Topics include, parts, operation, fundamentals of marksmanship, upgrading your AR, optics, zeroing and ​correcting malfunctions. This class is a three-hour block of instruction with additional three-hour blocks that can be setup according to the students' needs. This is NOT an NRA certified training course. Hourly private one-on-one or small group instruction is available to teach and develop new skills or improve and sharpen the skills you already have. The first hour of instruction is $75 and additional hours are at the rate of $50. Extra add-on students are at the rate of $25 per hour per student.
